Anatomy is an essential component in the undergraduate medical and dental curriculum. A sound knowledge of anatomy is essential in the fields of surgery, emergency medicine, radiology, interventional medicine (e.g., cardiology, gastroenterology) and critical care.

The 3rd National Anatomy Challenge for British Universities is to be held during the Doctors Academy National Careers and Academic Conference. The initial screening round is paper and PowerPoint based while the subsequent rounds will see delegates compete in interactive knockout rounds. The winner will be awarded a trophy, certificate and prizes to the value of £100.

Format::
  • Initial screening round: Timed PPT-based exam (images, clinical scenarios) comprising of 60 questions.
  • A total of 32 winners will be selected who will progress to the next rounds (pre-quarter finals, quarter finals, semi final and final). These rounds will be conducted on a knock-out basis.
  • Both rounds will have questions based on prosectional and topographic anatomy, osteology, pertinent radiology and clinical scenarios.

Eligibility: All Medical and Dental Students; Students in Anatomical Sciences.

Places are limited and will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
