Description:

Anatomy is an integral component in both the undergraduate medical curriculum and during clinical practice. A sound knowledge of anatomy is essential not just in the field of surgery but also in other disciplines such as emergency medicine, radiology, interventional medicine and critical care.

The ‘National Anatomy Challenge for Indian Medical Colleges - 2013’, the first of its kind run by Doctors Academy in India, is to be held during the 2nd Kolkata Annual Research and Medical (and Dental) International Congress (KARMIC 2013). The initial rounds will include 250 participants representing a number of medical colleges from all over India. The winner will be awarded a trophy, certificate and a free entry to the World University Anatomy Challenge to be held in Manchester, United Kingdom, between the 12th – 15th August 2013 as part of the International Medical Summer School

Format:
  • Initial screening round: Timed PPT-based exam (images, clinical scenarios) comprising of 60 questions.
  • A total of 32 winners will be selected who will progress to the next rounds (pre-quarter finals, quarter finals, semifinal and final). These rounds will be conducted on a knock-out basis.
  • Both rounds will have questions based on prosectional and topographic anatomy, osteology, pertinent radiology and clinical scenarios.

Eligibility criteria:   Medical Student from any of Indian Medical Colleges
