Imperial College Friends of MSF is the official student support organisation for MSF at Imperial College London, one of the world’s top 5 universities for technology, medical research and engineering. It is student-led society that focuses on raising awareness and funds for MSF through a variety of events and conferences.

MSF Now: Psyche will be the third edition of the event. We are aiming to make it even bigger and more interactive than in previous years. We have chosen to focus on the refugee crisis, mental health, corporate responsibility as well as provide creative and original workshops for our participants. We hope to become a platform for students, researchers, and professionals to engage in a stimulating discussion about the future direction of research in the MSF, ethics of public policy and current humanitarian crisis. We are inviting the very minds, companies, and organisations that could represent their views on the discussion panels or in their keynote speeches.

Our main goals are:

  • To deliver information on current fields of MSF work with emphasis on the biggest crisis
  • To create an environment for networking and inspiring conversations
  • To spread knowledge and awareness about MSF, highlighting opportunities for research involvement
  • To start a discussion between professionals, doctors, and students on the topics like mental health and refugee crisis
  • To deliver original, creative workshops that will provide the students with useful skills
  • To deliver information about working for MSF and planning a career with them.

We hope to demonstrate that MSF is not just a charity of health professionals and that good humanitarian aid can only be provided with the support of engineers, logisticians, and many others. Moreover, we are also opening a competition for research papers and posters to ephasise on the importance of innovations and implementing new technical solutions to the word of MSF.
