Course description:

Palliative Care Specialist Nurses and AHP's are invited to an afternoon on Acute Oncology.

Real patient scenarios will help structure discussions on specific acute oncology events (e.g. spinal cord compression, hypercalcemia, sepsis) and include:

• Recognition
• Investigations
• Assessment and management
• How and when to refer on

• Meet acute oncology specialists
• Explore working relationships/joint patient reviews
• Have an opportunity to work through a range of acute oncology presentations

• Know when and how to refer to acute oncology services
