Brief Description:

The course is aimed at teaching art and anatomy side by side to medical students, particularly those considering a career in surgery. It is comprised of four sessions running over four weeks, each with a different theme and media.

Learning outcomes:

• Introduction to a new way of learning and thinking about anatomy.
• Develop skills of observation, accuracy and dexterity.

The sessions benefit from the input of expert anatomists from The University of Edinburgh, clinical specialists and local artists.
