Description:
These sessions are part of the Core Surgical Training (CST) Education Programme for trainees (CT1 & CT2) across Wales. This programme, run by The Wales Training School of Surgery, is designed to deliver the new core curriculum objectives as detailed in the on-line ISCP Surgical Curriculum (
http://www.iscp.ac.uk), and meets JCST Surgical on-line Surgical Curriculum (
http://www.jcst.org/) and PMETB (
http://www.pmetb.org.uk/) requirements.
This anatomy session will comprise of small group demonstrations in limbs, neck, thorax & abdomen. Trainees will have the opportunity to spend about 30-40 minutes at each station. The aim of the these sessions is to help the core surgical trainees improve their overall understanding of anatomy in the day-to-day management of the surgical patient and in their understanding of basic practical surgical procedures, as well as to prepare for their MRCS examination.
Being part of mandatory Core Surgical Training sessions, there is no course fee or any charges for attending this event.
