Brief Description:
The course will follow the same format as the hugely popular course run by Dr Sally Scott in the UK for the last 27 years. Professor Graf is again the main lecturer. It is being organised by Dr Scott in conjunction with the Irish National Clinical Programme for Paediatrics and Neonatology, The course aims to provide the participants with a thorough understanding of the the role of Ultrasound in the diagnosis and management of Developmental Dysyplasia of the Hip (previously known as Congenital Dislocation of the Hip).
The course will cover the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to perform and interpret infant hip ultrasound examinations, and the management based on ultrasound findings. Aspects such as the choice of equipment and setting up an ultrasound service will also be covered.
