Speciality Focused FRCS (Gen Surg) Exam Preparatory Day – Breast Surgery

28th April 2018 - Postgraduate Medical Centre, County Hospital, Hereford



This one-day course is aimed at delegates preparing for Section I (SBA & EMI) and Section II of the Intercollegiate FRCS Examination in General Surgery. The day is dedicated to Breast Surgery and will be divided into two distinct but related components. The morning session will cover topics such as Current Trends in Breast Oncology, Role of Breast Radiology, Controversies in Breast Surgery and Recent Advances in Breast Oncoplasty. In the afternoon, all delegates will be able to participate in one-to-one clinical and academic viva sessions, and receive focused feedback from the experienced faculty. The preparatory day will highlight the key components and discuss high-yield topics from the sub-speciality of Breast within the JCST General Surgical curriculum.


Eligibility Criteria

ST5 or above/SpR Year 3 or above in General Surgery. Recommended for trainees planning to sit the FRCS Exam (Section I or Section II) within 6 months.
