DUSS Annual Undergraduate Surgical Conference: The Evolution of A Surgeon

15th February 2020 (Saturday)
Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, James Arrott Drive, Dundee, DD2 1SY

Reporting Information

Dundee University Surgical Society is proud to present the DUSS Annual Undergraduate Surgical Conference: The Evolution of A Surgeon. Aligned with this year's theme, the society aims to take students through the journey of a surgeon, focusing on three main areas: Getting into Surgery, The Challenges of the Modern-Day Surgeon, and The Future of Surgery.

Participants in the conference will not only be able to listen to experienced surgeons speak about their experiences but will also have the opportunity to participate in a Portfolio Station seminar and three specially-prepared practical workshops, including Laparoscopic Skills, Bowel Anastomosis, and a Surgical Skills Competition.

This year, the society is also introducing its new surgical speciality stands. Here, registrars and consultants from the different surgical specialties will present their insights into their respective fields. This will be a great opportunity for students to ask and receive answers regarding specific questions about their speciality of interest. If you have any inquiries, please email Dundee University Surgical Society at duss@dundee.ac.uk, or contact the society via their Facebook page @dundeesurgsoc.
