Organising Committee

  • Miss Anne Le Fur

Anne-Victoire Le Fur is a Fourth Year Medical Student at HYMS, and a graduate in Biomedical Science from University of Warwick. Anne-Victoire been interested in women’s health for as long as she has wanted to be a doctor, heavily influenced by her mother growing up, who is a specialist doctor in Community Sexual and Reproductive Health. Like most people who are enticed by this specialty, the combination of medicine and surgery, as well as the massive array of sub-specialties that can be focused on, are both strongly appealing factors to Anne-Victoire. She has nurtured her interests in women’s and sexual health by setting up the Hull branch of Sexpression, which she has run for two years. Anne-Victoire was also president of HYMSOGS last year and is the events coordinator on the committee this year.

Her descriptions highlighted to Rebekah how much emotion is involved in obstetrics, both highs and lows, and how incredible it is to be present and have a share in that moment when a baby is born.
