  • To examine the psychological impact of cancer and identify specific prostate cancer issues from diagnosis to survivorship.
  • Consider what makes men different and how this may affect reactions and coping strategies.
  • Explore psychological differences in hard to reach groups with a specific focus on Black and Afro Carribean communities and gay and bisexual men.
  • Hear a patient discuss the psychological impact of his cancer diagnosis.
  • How psychological impact can affect relationships and the social support network.
  • Explore communication skills to empower patients who have to make treatmernt decisions and are living beyond the disease.
