About

The EMWWH scheme is a new innovation that has been established to empower and support all professional ethnic minority women in healthcare in Wales. The aim is to promote professional development by supporting educational events and facilitating mentorship, career advice, counselling, leadership, management, skills, teaching and research.

The event will be led by Dr Tom Hughes MBBS FRCP MD and Dr Hamsaraj Shetty MBBS FRCP.

Dr Tom Hughes MBBS FRCP MD, a Consultant Neurologist & Clinical Director Medical Neuroscience at the University Hospital of Wales, will deliver a talk entitled "Certainties and uncertainties in the diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease".

Dr Hamsaraj Shetty MBBS FRCP, a Consultant Physician at the University Hospital of Wales, will deliver a talk entitled "What can we do to prevent strokes?"

This is a free healthcare lecture, all members of the public are welcome to attend. Free parking is available, and refreshments will be provided.
