Glasgow University Bridging Education Society (GUBES) is a non-profit society affiliated with The University of Glasgow. It works closely with secondary school students who intend to apply for competitive higher degree programmes in an attempt to bridge the gap between secondary school and university education.

The society regularly visits secondary schools in Glasgow in order to offer support and advice to students who wish to embark on further study in the areas of Medicine and Dentistry. The visits provide students with a detailed understanding of these degree programmes and the prerequisites needed to apply. It is hoped that such interaction will make the process of applying for and beginning university less daunting.
