The National Undergraduate Oncology Conference offers a unique insight into the various aspects of a career in Oncology with a patient-centred focus. This conference is aimed at anyone with an interest in cancer medicine, surgery, or clinical research. Certificates of attendance will be provided to all attendees.

Organised by undergraduates from across the London United Hospitals, delegates can expect talks from experts on ground-breaking advancements in Oncology and Oncological Surgery.

This conference will also present the opportunity for delegates to gain a better understanding of the patient perspective through panels and seminars with cancer patients who have kindly given their time to tell us about their journey.

Aims and Objectives

  • To provide an insight into a wide range of aspects of Oncology and Oncological Surgery to medical students.
  • To keep a patient-centred focus by hearing from cancer patients about their experiences.
  • To allow clinicians and academics to showcase novel advancements in cancer diagnosis and care.
  • To host practical seminars on various topics including communication and research/clinical trials.

There will also be an opportunity for delegates to present their posters at the conference. Posters may cover any topic related to the field of Oncology, which may include epidemiology and experimental work. Abstracts should adhere to the following format:

  • 200 words (maximum)
  • Title, Background, Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusions

Abstract submissions must be received no later than Wednesday 5th February 2020.
