About

This two-day conference aims to inspire medical students and foundation year doctors to consider a career in surgery. Through lectures, delegates are encouraged to learn more about the vast surgical specialties that medicine has to offer. The workshops intend to equip delegates with an insight into the necessary surgical skills required to pursue a career in surgery, as well some introduce them to specialty-specific skills to give them a flavour of certain surgical specialties.

The skills covered in the workshops are:
Suturing
Excision of a Cyst
Fracture Fixation (optional)
Laparoscopy Skills (optional)

As they register online for the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to select their preference between the fracture fixation and laparoscopy skills workshops. All delegates will attend the workshops on suturing and excision of a cyst.

Abstract submissions are welcomed from medical students, dental students and foundation year doctors. They may be submitted via the following link: https://forms.gle/dtwEepUVM8U6FaTA8 The closing date for abstract submissions is 16th April 2023.
