Speciality Focused FRCS (Gen Surg) Exam Preparatory Day – Colorectal Surgery

This one-day course is aimed at delegates preparing for Section I (SBA & EMI) and Section II of the Intercollegiate FRCS Examination in General Surgery. The day is dedicated to Colorectal Surgery and will be divided into two distinct but related components. The morning session will cover topics such as Pelvic Floor and Functional Bowel, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Controversies in Early Rectal Cancer, and Case Studies and Imaging in Colorectal Surgery. In the afternoon, all delegates will be able to participate in one-to-one clinical and academic viva sessions, and receive focused feedback from the experienced faculty. The preparatory day will highlight the key components and discuss high-yield topics from the sub-speciality of Colorectal Surgery within the JCST General Surgical curriculum.


Eligibility Criteria

ST5 or above/SpR Year 3 or above in General Surgery. Recommended for trainees planning to sit the FRCS Exam (Section I or Section II) within 6 months
