About:
This one-day interactive course seeks to enhance participants' expertise in vascular ultrasound, focusing on practical applications in everyday clinical practice. The morning session will include four lectures providing essential insights into ultrasound physiology and fundamental principles.
The afternoon session will enable participants to engage in five hands-on practical stations. This will allow attendees to practice and refine their skills with direct mentorship from experts. Additionally, real patients with actual pathologies will be present, providing a unique opportunity to observe authentic clinical findings and further reinforce learning. This combination of structured lectures and immersive practical experience makes the course invaluable for those seeking to develop their clinical acumen in vascular ultrasound.
Target Audience:
FY2,FY3, CT1,CT2,ST3, ST4, Non training registrars, Trust Grade Doctors.
Aims and objectives:
The course covers key topics in the ICSP curriculum and is designed to:
- Develop knowledge of the principles of ultrasound and limitations of vascular ultrasound imaging.
- Enhance technical skills in ultrasound imaging
- Interpret vascular pathologies through real-life case studies
- Be able to apply ultrasound in routine clinical practice
- Be able to assess and plan arteriovenous fistulas.
