Brief Description:
The course is designed to give you a head start on revision, with focus on perfecting
your examination technique as well as your presentation and communication skills.
The emphasis during this course will be on equipping you with the correct method
and strategy to pass the exam through observation of your technique and amendment
of faults.
Day 1 of the course focuses on the clinical examination stations
(cardiovascular, respiratory, abdominal, and neurological systems) as well as the new
Station 5. After brief lectures covering the new Station 5 and general strategies to pass
the exam, you will rotate through the clinical stations in small groups.
Day 2 of the
course focuses on History and Communication skills (Stations 2 and 4). Brief lectures
will be given to cover general aspects of history taking and communication scenarios,
after which you will rotate through the different stations in small groups.
