About

The event will provide students with the opportunity to gain hands on consultant led teaching in the fields of Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery.

Multi-speciality collaboration is vital in providing the best medical care in today’s health system. Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery commonly work hand-in-hand to optimise complex cases involving major trauma, open fractures and are both allied in hand surgery.

The event aims to provide a useful learning resource to help students become passionate about these fields of medicine.

The event will include workshops and delegates will rotate in small groups throughout the afternoon.

The event will explore the use of plate fixation, external fixation, tendon repair and flap design through interactive consultant lead workshops using small group-based teaching. Delegates will also be provided with a handbook covering the information explored throughout the day.
