This one-day course is aimed at Foundation Year Doctors and Core Trainees who are interested in improving their skills in orthopaedic trauma.

Learning Objectives

To understand the principles of a trauma call
To understand how to perform a tendon repair
To understand the concept of external fixators
To understand how to prepare for core surgical interviews
To understand how to apply an ankle plate
To understand how to apply a tendon repair
To understand how to prepare for ST3 interviews

Casting
Dynamic Hip Screw
Ankle Plate Fixation
Common Orthopaedic Scenarios
How to Obtain CT1 and ST3 Jobs
Tendon Repair
External Fixation
Portfolio Clinic

Course fee

Free. A refundable deposit of £50.00 is required upon registration

Target Audience

Foundation Year Doctors and Core Trainees. Senior medical students are also welcome to attend.
