The Inaugural South West Plastic Surgery Conference 2018 will provide attendees with an insight into the field of Plastic Surgery. The morning will consist of a series of lectures, delivered by experienced Plastic Surgeons, which will explore the speciality and its sub-specialities,as well as provide practical tips on how to enter one of the most competitive surgical specialities. The afternoon session will comprise of practical workshops which will focus on skills commonly used by Plastic Surgeons. The workshops will include basic suturing skills and knot-tying, flap design, and tendon repair.

Students have the opportunity to present a poster at the conference. Abstracts are currently being accepted in the following areas: audit; SSU/SSC; case report; elective research project; other research project associated with Plastic Surgery (including hand surgery, dermatological surgery or surgery in general). Abstracts of 250 words in length can be submitted to southwestpsc@gmail.com.Abstract submission closes at 2359 hours (GMT) on Saturday 14th April 2018.
